White Anjou wines
The white Anjou wines (« Appellation of Controled Origin ») are produced from the Chenin grape. Unlike the Coteaux du Layon, we don't wait for the over-ripening of the grape (hand-picked). The fruits must be at optimal maturity, without rot, when the grains have a golden colour.
We produce, depending on the years, up to 2 'cuvées' :
L'ARGONNETTE (ANJOU A.O.P.)
Fermentation and ageing in temperature-controlled tank. It is an aromatic and fruity dry white, enjoyable young. Perfect to accompany seafood, fish and mild goat cheeses. Serving : at 8-10°C.
LA FONTAINE DES BOIS (ANJOU A.O.P.)
Fermentation and ageing in oak barrels for 12 months at least. Aromatic and fruity dry white, rich, round, supple and complex. Ageing up to 5 years and more possible. Perfect to accompany fish and poultry. Serving : at 8-10°C.
